Release date:15 Sep 2009 NSW Treasury Corporation (TCorp) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Phil Chronican to its Board of Directors.
Mr Chronican's appointment fills the vacancy left following the retirement of the Hon. Andrew Rogers from TCorp's Board on 1 September 2009. Mr Rogers had served on TCorp's Board since 1995.
Mr Chronican joins the Board with a wealth of experience in banking and financial markets. He has had a long and distinguished career with Westpac Banking Corporation spanning 27 years, most recently heading Westpac’s Institutional Banking businesses as a key member of Westpac’s Group Executive.
"Phil is a highly regarded individual in the Australian banking industry and brings tremendous skills to TCorp's Board." said TCorp's Chairman, Michael Schur. “He will be a valuable addition to the Board and I look forward to working with him in this capacity.”
Mr Chronican will take up his appointment on 1 November 2009.
